Hyuga-nada 地震風險

Hyuga-nada is the southwesternmost section of the Nankai Trough, east of Kyushu. The August 2024 M7.1 earthquake here triggered Japan's first-ever Nankai Trough Earthquake Caution temporary advisory. The 30-year probability of an M7.6–8 event is 70–80%.
