Mie Prefecture 地震風險
Mie is one of Japan's closest prefectures to the Nankai Trough. The southern Kii Peninsula coast has among the fastest tsunami arrival times in Japan — some spots within 5 minutes of a major rupture. The 1944 and 1946 earthquakes demonstrated the scale of this threat.
主要斷層・地震帶
The Nankai Trough runs just south of Mie Prefecture. Kumano-nada and the southern Kii Peninsula are among Japan's fastest tsunami arrival zones — some coastal spots face inundation within 5 minutes of a Tonankai rupture. Ise Grand Shrine itself is inland with low direct tsunami risk, but coastal tourist areas (Toba, Shima, Owase) require immediate evacuation readiness.
